We support doctors and nurses

MedGuide Corona – Supporting Team, May 2020

Migrants and refugees are particularly vulnerable to the impact of COVID-19. The medical publication The Lancet describes it in its recent edition: “They lack from accessing safety, health-care services, and information” (March 31 2020).

In response to this flagrant shortage, a group of doctors, nurses, health workers and medical students from all over the world have developed a catalogue of questions designed to facilitate this access.

Developed by doctors, nurses and medical students worldwide.

This information will be usable – regardless of origin, language or ability to read and write. The project staff share the philosophy of the World Health Organization:

“no one left behind”

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of WHO

The overwiew helps to determine the symptoms related to the corona virus. All questions are being translated right now – with a special focus on African and Asian languages. Especially there people have a big demand for useful information, like show on the Global Health Security Index:

Too few countries can count on adequate medical care (© ghsindex.org). We contribute this according to the Sustainable Delepment Goals of the WHO.

Please recommend this website to others, too!

“an excellent project that I am delighted to support.”
